Mission

Our mission is to develop a high quality childcare service that meets the needs of children, parents and carers of Notre Dame Primary.  We aim to achieve this by providing wide a range of activities for children to enjoy within a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Organisation

The club is operated by Hyndland After School Club; a not-for-profit company and registered charity with over 23 years’ experience in out-of-school childcare provision.  We are governed by an elected board of volunteer parents and carers of children who attend the setting.

We are regulated by the Care Inspectorate, an organisation that provides a framework for high quality care of children.  This ensures their rights are promoted and protected.  We also actively promote the United Nations Convention for the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), and have a comprehensive list internal policies and procedures that are continually updated.

Services

We operate an after school club service in Notre Dame Primary from 3pm to 6pm during term time.  Our members can also attend the Holiday Club and 12-3 Club at Hyndland After School Club.  The Holiday Club runs from 8am to 6pm during the school holidays, and the 12-3 Club, for P1 pupils, runs from 12pm to 3pm until the children attend school full-time.

Facilities

Notre Dame Kids Club is based in Notre Dame Primary, a Roman Catholic school located on Havelock Street in the west end of Glasgow.  The school moved to the premises, formerly Dowanhill Primary, in 2013 following a £15m refurbishment project by Glasgow City Council.  We are based in the school’s main hall and have access to the school playground, MUGA (multi-purpose games area), gym and kitchen.
